Stable/Home Menu

This menu represents the players Stable or Home. The menu buttons on the navigation bar (along the top of the screen) allow the player to access vital sub menu's that allow the player to perform key actions.

In Standard game mode the top window contains details of any owned/trained horses. If your game contains AI owners then you do not own these horses. You just train them and take a cut of prize money and a monthly fee from the horses owner. In this mode you can adjust the training fees and cut on the STABLE menu. You may expand this horse list table by clicking on the expand icon (next to the TODAYS RUNNERS header on the bottom table). If you are playing a combined FLAT and JUMPS game you may filter the owned horses depending on their recent flat/jumps form. This enables you to view only your flat or jumpers at any one time.

You may notice a small MAIL icon top-right of the screen (AI owners mode only). If this is flashing it means you have unread mail. Be sure to read your mail before it expires. If the icon is transparent then you have no emails.

The current state of your stable is displayed as a graphic to the top-right of the screen. Click the small icon on this graphic to visit the STABLE menu where you can purchase stable add-ons.

On the horse table (top), if the horse has been entered for a race then the next race entry details will also be displayed here (PINK indicates the race is taking place today). Clicking on the horse name will display the individual horses DATA screen. The square STATUS icon(s) indicate your head lads assessment of the horses readiness to race. Red indicates the horse is not ready, amber indicates not quite ready and green indicates the horse is ready to race. A small 'I' icon indicates that the horse is currently recovering from an injury. If a small yellow arrow exists in the table header you may sort the table by clicking on the header. The three TRAINING buttons allow quick changing of the horse(s) training schedule. More detailed training options are available by clicking the TRAINING button in the left menu bar.

The centre window details the days race meetings and racecourse data for the selected meeting. Note that further racecourse data (including course records) can be viewed by clicking on the RACECOURSES menu button towards the left of the screen. The player may click on the small BETTING SLIP icon (in the TODAYS MEETINGS window) to place a pre-meeting single or multiple bet. If a feature race is listed in the RACECOURSE window then clicking on the race name will reveal any past results for that specific race.

The bottom window contains the runners and riders for the selected meeting. The player may click on any of the YELLOW items in this table to access more data on the selected item (in this case the FORM, HORSE, JOCKEY or TRAINER). The contents of this window can be scrolled via the mouse wheel or by holding left mouse button and dragging the scroll bar.

When the player is ready then either click the GO RACING button to go to the racecourse. If the player has declared a horse to run then a SKIP-NEXT DEC button will appear. Click this button to fast-forward to the date of the players next declared horse.

Note to novice players: In Standard Game mode the player will probably want to begin entering his horses in future races. To do this click on the DECLARATIONS button.
