Horse Data screen

This screen displays the selected Horse's details including a summary of ALL past races and current declarations. Use the CONTEXT button to change between flat and jumps.

The horse's portrait appears in a table along with some basic data. The BREEDING INDICATOR indicates the average going and distance preference of the parents along with the parents best group record. If the horse is player bred there a LINAGE button will be available. Click this button to view the horses lineage screen. If the horse is owned by the current player then below this box will be a HEAD LAD REPORT box. This box helps the player gauge when a horse is ready to race. To the left of the horses portrait is the horses main PARAMETER box (note that these parameters are only available to view by the horses current trainer):

FITTNESS. The higher the better. Fitness is increased through training.
CONDITION. A high condition indicates the horse is well and raring to go. A low condition indicates the horse requires rest (possibly until next season!).
SPEED. A horse with a high speed rating is likely to prefer sprint races.
STAMINA. A horse with a high Stamina rating is more likely to stay extreme distances.
ACCELERATION. The horses ability to quicken.
JUMP. The horses current jumping ability. Note that this can change depending on the horses potential and also training. A guide to the horses jumping potential is given by your head lad and displayed on the TRAINING screen.
START. The horses starting/breaking ability.

Note that these parameters are intended as a basic guide only. Every horse is made up of many hundreds of parameters. It is intended that you use trial and error by watching the horse perform over varying conditions and also by paying attention to jockey and head lad feedback to gauge your horses.

If the horse is player owned then buttons for the additional options of entering the horse in the coming days AUCTION or EXPORTING the horse will be displayed. Also a PACIFIERS table will be visible (bottom-right screen) that allows the player to select pacifiers for the selected horse. See instructions for more information on pacifiers. The RACE HISTORY table at the bottom of the screen lists ALL the horses past races (up to aprox. 6 years). These races can be filtered by setting the list boxes in the RACE FILTERS table. The player can view the detailed form cards for these races (and possibly the replays) by clicking on the required race. By moving the mouse over the race title the player can view a textual description of the horses performance. NOTE: If playing Owner AI mode then some options are not available (such as Auction and Export).

If the horse is declared to race in the coming month a small table will appear at the top-right of the screen (titled DECLARATIONS) containing a list of all races the horse is declared to run in. Clicking on any of these races will open another table (titled CURRENTLY DECLARED) that contains the runners and riders for the selected race. The player may click on any of the YELLOW fields in this table to access further data. If the horse has won a feature race a FEATURE RACE HISTORY table will be visible. The contents of this table never expires so there is always a record of the horses greatest achievements.

The horses NAME can only be changed when a new 2yo enters the game (Click on the horses name box to rename).
