Showcase races data edit

Here you may schedule the showcase races throughout the season. The resulting schedule is saved to your hard drive.

IMPORTANT: Great care should be taken to create balanced schedules as game quality and realism can be adversely affected by over scheduling in an area. For example. If you have too many races over a similar distance for 3yo
colts scheduled close together then the game may have difficulty finding runners for all the races and the quality of fields may be diluted or you may end up with walk overs or void races because no runners can be found.

The locality of the schedule and the overall type (flat, flat/jumps, jumps only) must be set on the previous menu before entering this screen.

The large table to the left of the screen displays all available races for the selected country. You may add races from any country you wish but the bulk of the races should be in the same country as the overall locality of the
schedule. To change the country use the list box above this table. A small green tick icon to the right of a race indicates this race already exists in the schedule and cannot be added. By clicking on any race in this table it's
details are displayed in a small blue box at the bottom of the screen. When a race is displayed in this screen it may be added to your schedule (right table).

The Schedule table

The right table contains the schedule you are editing. There may be four buttons to the right of the table. The first (a blue '+' circle) will ADD the selected race to the schedule. If you click on a line already containing a feature race then the selected race will be added after this race. If this selected race is at a different racecourse then a second meeting will be added on that date. Only two feature race meetings can be added per day.

The red '-' button will remove a race from the schedule.

The next button will either be a SUN or MOON icon depending on the meeting taking place either in the afternoon or the evening. Click to toggle.

The last icon indicates if there are any PREP races attached to this race. A full, bright button indicated there are prep races attached. Clicking the button will list any prep races in a small table to the bottom left of the screen. A PREP race is a race that is commonly used as a stepping stone to the selected race. Prep races should be used sparingly, only for the very big races. If a horse runs well in a prep race it is much more likely to be entered for the selected (target) race. However, trainer ai may result in the horse not being entered for the target race. You may add a prep race by clicking on the left portion of the races name. Once added the race appears in the small PREP races table. You may delete a prep race at any time by clicking the red delete button (in the PREP table).
